What is the dress code?
Welcome Party: Resort Chic. Think polished Palm Beach resort attire: collared shirts with trousers for gentlemen, and sundresses or elegant resort separates for ladies. Jackets and ties are not required.
Ceremony: Daytime formal attire is requested. Gentlemen should wear a jacket with dress trousers; ties are optional. Ladies are encouraged to wear elegant daytime dresses.
Reception: Black tie. Tuxedos are required for gentlemen, and floor-length evening gowns are requested for ladies.
What time should I arrive for the wedding ceremony?
The Nuptial Mass will begin promptly at 2:00 PM at the Basilica of St. Edward. Please be seated by 1:45 PM, as guests arriving after the procession begins will be held outside until a suitable moment in the liturgy.
Is the ceremony a Catholic Mass?
Yes. Isabella and Ben will celebrate the Sacrament of Matrimony within a Nuptial Mass at the Basilica of St. Edward. Guests of all faiths are welcome to join them.
What should I expect if I am not Catholic?
The Nuptial Mass runs approximately an hour and includes Bible readings, a homily, and the exchange of vows. The congregation stands, sits, and kneels at various points, and guests who are unfamiliar with the liturgy are welcome either to follow along or to remain seated throughout. During Holy Communion, guests who are not receiving the Eucharist may stay in their pews, or may come forward with their arms crossed over their chest to receive a blessing.
May I take photographs or videos during the wedding ceremony?
No. Isabella and Ben kindly ask that the wedding ceremony remain "unplugged," and that all phones and cameras be turned off and put away. They want to give the sacrament their full attention and rely on the professionals to capture every moment of it. Raised devices in any location would be a distraction and a detriment to the quality of their sacred event. They also ask that nothing from the wedding ceremony appear on social media, as they would like to be the first to share those images themselves. Photographs and videos are welcome once the evening reception begins, and you are free to share those as you wish.
Will I have time to change before the reception?
Yes. The wedding ceremony will conclude in the three o'clock hour and the evening begins at six o'clock with the cocktail hour, leaving ample time to return to your hotel, relax, and change.
Is there an event on Sunday?
There is no formal event planned for Sunday, allowing Isabella and Ben time to rest and relax after the celebration. The family will have cabanas by the pool, where the bride and groom expect to spend part of the day. Guests who are extending their stay are warmly welcome to join them.
Are any events outdoors?
Yes. Weather permitting, the cocktail hour will be held on The Breakers’ Ocean Lawn, an oceanfront lawn overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
What is the weather typically like in Palm Beach in November?
November in Palm Beach is typically warm and pleasant, with comfortable evenings. As the cocktail hour is planned for the Ocean Lawn, weather permitting, guests may wish to bring a wrap or shawl, as the breeze from the Atlantic can be felt after sundown.
Are special hotel rates available for wedding guests?
Yes. A limited number of rooms have been reserved at special rates at The Breakers and Hilton West Palm Beach. As availability is limited, guests are encouraged to make their reservations at their earliest convenience.
Will transportation be provided?
Yes. Transportation will be provided from The Breakers to the Basilica of St. Edward and back. The remaining plans for the weekend are still being finalized, and further details will be posted here as soon as they are available.
Are children invited?
While Isabella and Ben love your little ones, the wedding weekend will be an adults-only celebration.
Is there a wedding registry?
Your presence in Palm Beach is the greatest gift. For those who have kindly asked, Isabella and Ben have registered at the two shops below.
